I have Lyme disease, hEDS, POTS, tethered spinal cord + adhesive arachnoiditis, CCI and AAI (instability of C0-C1 and C1-C2), subaxial instability, instability of my entire spine, thoracic outlet syndrome and possible vascular compression syndromes in my stomach. 

It has taken me years to get the right diagnoses. By the time I finally received them, the instability of my cervical spine was so severe that I had to be admitted to the ICU until my first surgery because my life was in danger and it was nearly impossible to stabilize me due to the amount of traction I needed. 

I have undergone three surgeries in Barcelona to stabilize my entire spine from skull until pelvis with traction. 

Symptoms I had before my surgeries: 

Non-epileptic seizures, choking, difficulty speaking (dysartria), blurred vision, blindness, difficulty hearing, difficulty swallowing, difficulty breathing, unable to sit without collar, unable to walk without collar, high pressure behind my eyes, high pressure in my ears, loss of coordination, tremors in my left arm, fluttering eye lids with rolling away of my eyes, bad function of my bladder, pain in my neck and head. 

All of these symptoms have dissappeared since my last surgery when my entire spine was fused with traction. 

Right now I am recovering and eternally grateful that finally my prayes have been answered and I am in the right hands. 

There is nothing I want more then to turn my experiences into something good and to help other people.
For years I have prayed that whatever happened to me, to let this not be in vain, I prayed that my case could prevent other people from having to walk the same path which besides me, so many other patients have had to walk until now.
We need to do better for every single person still to come in the future and for every single person who has already walked this road.
